Ambrozine Neil

Born in Jamaica on July 2, 1929, she came to England in 1962 and continued in her profession as a dress designer. Ambrozine has been closely involved in community work for fifteen years and in 1982, she was elected councillor for the London Borough of Brent Labour Group. A year later she changed sides to become a Conservative Party member.

She is a founder member of the Parents Association for Education Advance which was formed in 1976, and the West Indian Women’s Association (1977) and various other organisations involved in community and race relations. When time allowed, she continued her dress designing
